The Dandiya Raas dance originated as devotional Garba dances, which were performed in goddess Durga's honor, is actually the staging of a mock-fight between the Goddess and Mahishasura, the mighty demon-king, and is nicknamed as the sword dance. The sticks of the dance represent the sword of Durga. The dancers whirl and move their feet and arms in a choreographed manner to the tune of the music with lots of drum beats. The true dance gets extremely energetic.

The event as mentioned will start around 6pm with Aarti and then we'll start our Dandiya dance till 8pm with a small snacks break in between.

below 5 years join for free !

A kind request to all to do the registrations till Wednesday as we need a count for the snacks and accordingly we would start preparations for the same. (Registrations for the event will still be open till Thursday).
