Intia-viikon ohjelma on lyöty lukkoon ja luvassa on kiinnostava kattaus erilaisia kursseja, luentoja ja esityksiä sekä lisäksi ohjelmaa lapsille
Kulttuurikeskus Caisassa. Ensimmäistä kertaa järjestettävä Intia-viikko on suunnattu kaikille Intiasta ja intialaisesta kulttuurista kiinnostuneille. Tapahtuma on tarkoitus järjestää jatkossa vuosittain. Perusohjelman lisäksi tarjolla on (vaate) bazaari ja intialaisia makuja.
Perjantaina luvassa on Ilona Kolachanan vetämä Bollywood & Bhangra -tanssitunti (17-19) sekä Shava yhtyeen Bhangra-konsertti (20-22), jonka jälkeen yleisö pääsee joraamaan DJ Pappun johdolla Café Caisassa.
Lauantaina luvassa on Pille Roosin vetämä Bharatanatyam -tanssitunti (10-12), Dada Bhavottaraanandan ilmainen Jooga ja meditointi sessio (14-17) ja Bhawna Sharman ja Pranuthi Muggallan vetämä ilmainen interaktiivinen sessio Lyhyt katsaus Ayurvedaan (18-19). Ilta huipentuu Rakkautta ilmassa - intialaisten tanssien tanssinäytökseen (19-20:30), jossa lavalle nousee toinen toistaan upeampia tanssijoita ja tanssiryhmiä Suomesta ja Virosta.
Esillä on myös tamperelaisen valokuvajaan Rami Marjamäen mielenkiintoinen valokuvanäyttely Chennaista, Keralasta ja Delhistä, joka kannattaa käydä katsomassa! Näyttely on esillä lauantaina ja sunnuntaina klo:10-18 Kulttuurikeskus Caisassa.
Sunnuntaina luvassa on Hanna Mannilan vetämä Kathak-tanssitunti (11-13) ja Rumpa Sahan vetämä Bollywood alkeistunti (15-17). IntiaMatkat järjestää mielenkiintoista ohjelmaa koko päivän (11-17): tutustutaan intialaisiin mausteisiin, opetellaan piirtämään Rangoli (kirkkailla väreillä maalattu juhlakoriste), opetellaan tekemään Henna-tatuointeja (Mehendi) ja opetellaan pukemaan perinteisiä intialaisia vaatteita Sari tai Dhoti. Lisäksi tarjolla on Apramey Duben vetämä ilmainen luento ja keskustelu Mahatma Gandhista nykyajassa (18-19). Intia-viikko huipentuu Bhajan Sandhya ilmaiskonserttiin, jossa kuullaan pääasiassa sanskriitin kielisiä hindulaisia hymnejä, mutta myös muiden uskontojen hengellisiä lauluja (19:30-21:30).
Sunnuntaina hemmotellaan myös lapsia! Virpi Stillin vetämä Bollywood-tanssitunti 5-9-vuotiaille (10-12) sekä Sandhya Naidun ja Sunita Purohitin vetämä ilmainen lasten työpaja, jossa lapset oppivat millaista on intialainen traditionaalinen taide (mm. gond, warli, madhubani -taidesuuntaukset) helpolla ja yksinkertaisella tavalla (13:30-18).

täältä. Huom! Voit vain varata paikkoja. Maksu suoritetaan itse tapahtumassa, ovella, käteisellä (varaathan tasarahan) tuntia ennen tapahtumaa. Tämän jälkeen lunastamattomat paikat vapautetaan myyntiin.

The program of IndiaWeek has now been confirmed and there is interesting set of different types of workshops, lectures, shows and program for children too at Cultural Center Caisa. IndiaWeek which is now arranged for the first time is going to be an annual happening for all the people who are interested of India and Indian culture. In addition to the main program, there may be a (clothes) bazaar and Indian snacks available.
On Friday there are Bollywood & Bhangra dance workshop by Ilona Kolachana (17-19), Bhangra concert by Shava band (20-22) and After party at Café Caisa where the audience can shake a leg with DJ Pappu.
On Saturday there are Bharatanatyam dance workshop by Pille Roosi (10-12), free Yoga and Meditation lessons by Dada Bhavottaraananda (14-17) and free interactive session An insight into Ayurveda by Bhawna Sharma and Pranuthi Muggalla (18-19). The highlight of the evening will be Love & Romance -
Bollywood style dance show (19-20:30), where great dancers and dance groups from Finland and Estonia are performing Bollywood, Kollywood and classical Indian dances.
There is an interesting India Photography Exhibition at Cultural Center Caisa by photographer Rami Marjamäki. The exhibition contains pictures from Chennai, Kerala and Delhi taken in December 2012. The exhibition is open on Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 18.
On Sunday there are Kathak dance workshop by Hanna Mannila
(11-13) and Beginner's Bollywood workshop by Rumpa Saha (15-17).
IntiaMatkat is organizing various programs during the day (11-17): Learn about Indian spices , Learn to draw Rangoli (festive decoration made of bright colors), Learn and try Henna tattoos ( Mehendi ) and How to wear traditional Indian clothes ? Let's learn to wear Saree or Dhoti. Lecture about Mahatma Gandhi in Contemporary Times by Apramey Dube (18-19). The climax of India week is Bhajan Sandhya - An Evening with Bhajan People -free concert of devotional songs mainly Sanskrit hymns but also songs from other religions (19:30-21:30).
On Sunday there is treat for children too! Kids’ Bollywood dance workshop by Virpi Still for children of 5 to 9 years (10-12) and free Kids’ Art Workshop by Sandhya Naidu and Sunita Purohit where children will learn about traditional Indian art, including the styles of Gond, Warli and Madhubani (13:30-18).

You can buy advance tickets to the Bhangra concert and dance show from Tiketti. Tickets are also sold at the event but with bit higher price and cash only.
You can reserve your place for special workshop here. Note : you can only reserve your place for workshop. Payment needs to be done by cash at door one hour before the workshop. After that reservations will become invalid and places are sold.
