Cultural society India exhibition on 15.5 to 15.6.2013

Kulttuuriyhdistys Intialla on jälleen mielenkiintoista tapahtumaa tarjolla. Kuukauden ajan yhdistys tarjoaa erilaisia mielenkiintoisia kursseja niin lapsille, teini-ikäisille kuin aikuisillekin. Tapahtuman lähtölaukaus on keskiviikkona 15.5.2013, joilloin paikalla on intialaisia muusikkoja. Alla tiedot englanniksi. 

We warmly welcome you to Cultural society India opening exhibition on the 15.5 Wednesday. We are having great musicians from India who gives Tabla (Indian drum) workshop for kids and adult.

Here’s the program in our opening ceremony 15.5.2013:
-16:00-17:00 advanced level of tabla teaching by Apurba Mukherjee. 10€ fee
-17:00-18:00 beginners tabla lesson by Apurba Mukherjee. 5€ fee
-18:00-19:00 musical performance by Apurba Mukherjee and Abir Singh Khangura.
-19:00-20:00 Vegetarian Food 5€/plate

Apurba Mukherjee is a bright and talented Tabla player in the world of Indian Classical Music. As a disciple of Pandit Shankar Ghosh, he has performed widely in India and abroad, accompanying well known musicians of the country. Besides playing important concerts in India he has also performed in important festivals and concerts in various countries inter alia USA, Canada, Europe and Middle East. Musicians all over the world blessed him with bright future.

Abir Singh Khangura was born in Shantiniketan. Abir began his Esraj training from Sri Ranadhir Roy. After the untimely demise of his guru, Abir continued with Sri Buddhadev Das of the same tradition. Later Abir had the fortune to receive talim from Dr. Sisirkana Dhar Chowdhury, disciple of Ustad Ali Akbar Khan. Abir has received many awards including junior fellowship in the field of Hindustani Classical Music. Abir has traveled extensively in India, Bangladesh, Europe and U.S.A, with his music and teaching.

-31.5 Fri 17:00-18:00 Indian singing course for every age, 18:00-19:00 dance class for all age
-5.6 Wed 16:00-19:00 Egg less cake and muffin course for kids and teenagers, Indian Veg food

Mun oli tarkoitus mennä tuolle kurssille, mutta sitten tulikin esteitä. Olisi ollut taatusti mielenkiintoista! :)
